Seven Ways to make the Most of a Moment - Week 2

Life is made up of many moments.
Getting the very most out of your life starts with how you use each one.

Here are this week’s suggestions:

 1.  Today is April 1st.  Play an April Fool’s Day joke and make someone laugh.  But be
      kind.

  • When I was about 9 years old, I decided to play “THE BEST April Fool’s Day joke EVER” on my Dad.  I replaced the contents of the sugar bowl with salt. He always put granulated sugar on his cereal.  That morning though - and he swears he didn’t suspect anything - he decided to use brown sugar.  I was so disappointed. We laughed more about how this joke failed than we ever would have though, had I succeeded in fooling him!

 2.  Get back in touch with an old friend.  (Facebook makes this easier than ever.)

 3.  Pay some extra attention to your pet.  You will both benefit.

This little kitty and my parents provided each other with 19 years of companionship.  She is missed.

 4.  Try a new recipe.  This is one that I like:  Favorite Recipe: “Canoe Trip Banana-Butterscotch Brownies.”

 5.  Smile and thank the cashier, the next time you have a long wait in line to get
groceries.  It will make his/her day more pleasant too!

 6.  Write down a few long term goals; you are more likely to succeed if you put them in
      writing.

 7.  Read a good book.  I am currently really enjoying The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold
Fry: A Novel, by Rachel Joyce on my Kindle.

How are you getting the most out of all your moments?
Please share your ideas in a comment.
I might include them in a future list!
