You can't be happy or content until you make peace with yourself. Money certainly can't buy it. It doesn't matter how much you buy...someone else will always have more. The secret, I think, is to look at the ones who don't have as much. Then perhaps you can be content with what you have. However!!!!! I do need to do a better job of organizing my house. That would give me more inner peace and contentment.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4408200542344140440.post-61974862644588407472015-05-13T09:59:00.612-06:002015-05-13T09:59:00.612-06:00Oh this looks like a wonderful book. Thank you for...Oh this looks like a wonderful book. Thank you for the introduction. And yes, I think that being grateful is the ticket for contentment. If you truly appreciate what you have, then you are open to contentment. As for retail cleverness, my nephew taught me quite a bit. He used to work for a famous chocolate company. They would pay top dollar in the supermarket to be placed at the end of a row, right near the cashier. As you waited in line trying to keep your eyes off the tantalizing goodies on the side, you'd look back and see these gems conveniently located on an end row. "Ah, now I NEED those ..." So clever. Responsibility is the key I think. We need to accept responsibility. You know, I'...I'm also off to check it out. You know, I've spent my life waiting for "tomorrow" and never being content with what I had until I didn't. I was just telling my husband the other day that I can't ever remember a period in my life where I have felt more content than I do right now. I am happy where my life is and with my "lot" in it. I think Carol is right. I am grateful that I am alive, that the babies are doing good, that mom is okay so when I think what could be I know I am very lucky which leads me to feeling content.Renahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12296781992150172086noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4408200542344140440.post-91963368786389274972015-05-12T10:30:08.893-06:002015-05-12T10:30:08.893-06:00I think a feeling of contentment is so much easier...I think a feeling of contentment is so much easier to achieve some times than others, depending on what's going on in our lives.
